A unified cloud-based architecture enables centralized campus-wide deployment and management via a single Web-based platform, supporting the remote management of thousands of endpoints and the unified deployment, upgrading, and maintenance of tens of thousands of virtual desktops.
When the school conducts internal exams or hosts external tests, administrators use the Converged Desktop Cloud to rapidly deploy exam desktop environments, batch-generate IP addresses, usernames, computer names, and other required information, and adjust the system restore settings as needed. After the exams conclude, the exam systems are swiftly reclaimed and hidden with a single click, ensuring no disruption to normal teaching and practical training.
The cloud resource service model offers high resource utilization and supports scalability for over 10,000 endpoints and 100,000 desktops, meeting infrastructure requirements for the next 5 to 10 years.
Students can connect their personal laptops to the Teaching Desktop Pool in public study spaces or open labs, allowing them to access the virtual teaching desktops and conduct open experimental learning anytime.
Using distributed storage technology, teaching and office data can be stored with 2 or even 3 replicas in the cloud. Should a server fail, the data is automatically rebuilt and restored, guaranteeing zero data loss for all teaching and administrative activities.
The cloud desktop is built on a dual-system design, featuring both a virtual desktop and a local operating system retained on the terminal, with both systems sharing a single system image. When a server or network failure occurs and the terminal cannot access the virtual desktop, it automatically switches to the local system. In addition, even if the terminal has no local OS installed, offline broadcast teaching can still be carried out via multimedia teaching software, ensuring that instruction continues without interruption.
It offers not only high-performance experimental environment resources but also the capability to incorporate local computing resources. By connecting their laptops to the computing power center remotely, teachers and students can access high-performance environments that match their experimental teaching needs. Through information technology, these high-performance resources are efficiently shared across the institution.
A single terminal provides multiple operating systems, allowing students to flexibly access the corresponding teaching desktops according to the different instructional environments required by various professional courses. Each operating system can have independent teaching software installed. Moreover, it supports a wide range of operating systems, including Windows 7, Windows 10, CentOS, UOS, and KOS, catering to students' diverse and dynamic needs.
